BSc (Hons) Nutritional Therapy
I graduated from the University of Westminster in 2003 with a 1st class BSc (Hons) degree in Nutritional Therapy, and have since worked as a nutritional practitioner in both private and GP practices, as well as in a consultative capacity within the wellness and beauty industry. (Talking healthy hair with Louise Galvin @thisistheantidote.com. Hormonal fluctuations influence on hair loss www.louisegalvin.com, Hair as a barometer for health and wellness www.louisegalvin.com)I have a particular specialism in fertility and hormonal health.
My interest in nutrition was sparked by my own personal health crisis that was in part the result of some poor dietary and lifestyle choices. In effect, I was letting work pressure take over, wasn’t looking after myself in relation to my diet, exercise and stress management, the net result being ill health! This forced me to re-evaluate my life and fuelled my interest in nutrition and well-being. Having made some changes to my diet, I saw first hand the fundamental effect the food I was eating was having on my health and energy levels. For me, helping someone to optimise their health and well being is my ultimate goal.
I am fully qualified, insured and registered with the British Association for Applied Nutritional Therapy (BANT), the Complimentary Healthcare council (CNHC) and the Nutritional Therapy Council (NTCC).
